  • 2012 - Angola 
    • Mr. Kabel travelled to Angola in July to evaluate the state of the support services for the oil & gas offshore industry off of West Africa.
    • West Africa is one of the most active oil & gas development fields in the world, and presents some of the most challenging environments for logical support.
    • In addition to supplying general business advice to CEOs, Mr. Kabel performs market studies and business plan evaluations for clients in the power, marine, and industrial markets.

 

 

 

  • 2010 and 2011 - India
    • At the Concentrated Solar Power conferences in Hyderabad, papers were presented outlining the government's new giga-watt solar incentive program.
    • Mr. Kabel met with industry and government leaders to discuss how technology could be transferred to India so as to maximize local Indian content.
    • Mr. Kabel also acted as an evaluator of potential partnerships on behalf of certain US companies.


  • July 2009 - San Diego, CA 
    • Mr. Kabel took a tour of the first Concentrix CPV (Concentrated Photo-Voltaic) installation in the United States at the University of California, San Diego.
    • Mr. Kabel and his colleagues have acted as advisors to solar developers and equipment manufacturers who are looking for independent assistance in the development of large-scale solar projects.
 

     
  • April 2009 - Spain
    • Mr. Kabel toured projects under construction in southern Spain by Acciona Energia and Abengoa.
    • Large-scale power towers such as these provide the benefit of scale and allow for the possibility of thermal storage in the long-run, however they also provide challenges such as non-uniform heating and cooling leading to uneven expansion.
    • Mr. Kabel has given business development advice, supervision, and contract negotiations related to large scale solar development.
   

 

  • October 2008 - University of London
    • Mr. Kabel completed his dissertation on "The Mentoring of CEOs of High-Tech Companies." 
    • Research for the dissertation included interviews with a number of CEOs.
    • The research has provided Mr. Kabel with valuable insights which have proved useful when supplying advice to CEO/clients for their routine business and personnel challenges.
 
 
  • September 2008 – Ecuador and the Galapagos Islands
    • Mr. Kabel and his son Andrew travelled to Quito, Guayaquil, and the Galapagos. 
    • Green power solutions in places like the Galapagos are key to maintaining the pristine environment that tourists expect to find when they arrive. Mr Kabel continues to work with green technology company boards and CEOs to help identify commercialization strategies and paths to market.
    • While in Ecuador, they visited with friends and colleagues in the power industry and with a foundation that supports the education of people in one of the more challenging parts of Guayaquil.

 

 

  • July 2008 – Spain
    • The government of Spain has enacted incentive programs that are driving significant large-scale solar power development. Mr. Kabel travelled to Madrid to visit the headquarters of the $9 billion company Acciona and the headquarters of Acciona Energia in Pamplona. 
    • The purpose of the visit was to see various photo-voltaic plants as well as a solar-thermal plant under construction at La Risca in southern Spain.
    • Mr. Kabel has provided advisory regarding the supply chain and cost reduction for large-scale solar-thermal power plants.
